A Legend Reborn

For a few short months at the beginning of the 90s, a football fanzine blazed a frank and fearless trail of incisive reporting and razor sharp wit.  Village Football had never had it so good and neither had the small village of Long Itchington in Warwickshire.

Soapy Tackle followed the downs and downs of the Long Itchington Saturday side in the competitive Coventry Suburban IV league.  Now after twenty years those thirteen priceless issues have been digitized and are sure to be enjoyed by a whole new legion of fans.

We were proud.  We were Long Itchington.  We were Soapy Tackle.
